Don Mattingly, also known as Donnie Baseball, played firstbase for the Yankees from 1982-1995. He won the AL MVP award in 1985 and the Yankees have also retired his number (23). During his career he made six all star games, won 9 gold gloves and won 3 gold glove awards. Mattingly hit .307 and 222 homeruns during his playing days.
